The seeds of Krpaa were sown in the Spring of 2004. Having a passion for Indian textiles and crafts, the founder, Darshana Mathur started making a few bags as a hobby. Before long her repertoire grew and Krpaa's vision unfolded.

After studying Commercial Art in Mumbai, Darshana worked as a graphic designer. Exploring digital media, she felt a need to translate art into tangible expressions.

His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's, "Deepen your roots and broaden your vision" has been the motivating force for Darshana. Promoting and rejuvenating the culturally rich Indian handicraft to all corners of the globe is Krpaa's dream.
